Info on Olympic Kiln - 139FLE?

It really isn't designed for knife HT. Without the SSR and a programmable controller it won't work well or for long.

A knifemaker's Paragon or Evenheat would be a far better choice unless you are getting one in good used condition for a very low price.

There's a SSR as an option, and the genesis they offer is an option offered by Evenheat. Don't know if that makes it as good or not but the option for those is available.

Yes, as long as it will be made with an SSR and programmable controller it will be good. The original link was for a pottery kiln model.
Out of curiosity, what is the price they are asking for it with the modifications?

Looks like its 240v (or atleast the one I found was) and its doesnt appears to have Solid State Relays or Touch screen options.

Daniel No issues? You happy with it?

only thing I’d prefer is it to heat faster but I’d have to go 240v for that. Holds temperature and works great for the 4-5 Programs I run. If I switch it’ll be to go 240 and I may just convert mine to 240 if I go that route
