A friend of mine recently bought a used knife. We would like to know the maker and a little information about the history of the knife. This is folding pocket knife. One one of the blades the words Korium Carl Schueper Solingen are marked. The Schueper is not very clear so the lettering may be some different. If you have any information please e-mail me at GolfRal45@Aol.Com Thanks!!!!!

The name on your friends knife is probably Carl Schlieper. I can not tell you much. This manufacturer has made knives from 1769 until the present. In Levine's guide to knives 2nd edition he gives the value as medium, but does not say much else.
I hope this will make it easier to research this knife.
By the way, I am sure you probably know this, the knife was made in Solingen, Germany.

Post this same question over on Bernard Levine's forum. It really is amazing how much that guy knows about different types of knives.
