Yes, the .140 GWs are great, especially the Satin/Snake LEs, the Satin/Green Linen micarta (my all-time favorite EDC, thanks again T) and the Satin/Orange G10 (which I sold and miss badly)...
That being said, I currently like the .170 Satin/untreated Tigerhide micarta best - it's just a bit sturdier (and it matches my FBM LE #94). My son-in-law just took a sturdy .20 Muddy GW as a necker to Afghanistan. And I have a .270 Satin/Tan canvas micarta GW prybar in my glove compartment...
What can I say, GWs are the perfect entry-level Busse addiction.
Cheers to all,
"Bloody Bill"

Lots of interest in the GWs all of a sudden. There's a thread in General too.

Looks like I'm going to have to raise my prices. :p

What the? Where'd that thing come from?

I never done seen me a Warden like that thar.

Thats a Whitesnake GW, and I think it came from the spring Knob.
I don't know the thickness of those??? I would think thick.

that white snake wasn't from the spring kc, it predates that. i'm not real sure were it's from. guyon i just had bacon and xsharp chedder melt's for supper. that's thick cut isn't it?

The .200" thick SAR Warden is my favorite. I have subjected it to some massive trauma during some brutal survival expeditions and have thus far only worn down the coating a bit. I have cut down saplings, pried open cabinets, cut wire and rope, and skinned animals with it. I can do almost anything with this thing without worrying about rust or breakage, and the best part is I can't lose it because the handles are bright yellow.

I can't vouch for the thinner ones but I am sure they are better slicers, but that's only "better" if slicing is your intended use.

Where in East Texas are you? There's a guy in Beaumont who has a pretty fair collection if you want to see them in person before deciding which one to get.

I live in Carthage. Those are really nice. I can't decide which handle blade combo I want though.

I enjoy my Game Wardens as well. Currently only own one, but have used it fairly extensively.

Here is the latest lists...
This is considered the "production" list as there are a whole host of varieties
and variants that came out of the custom shop and Busse in shows and ganzas.

What a great thread and I can totally relate to the OP and I think these Game Wardens ARE a gateway drug!

I just bought my first this morning over on candlepowerforums (a Tiger Warden) and literally about two hours ago just bought a Muddy Active Duty on here... Just a few months ago I swore I would never spend more than $100 on a knife when I bought a few RAT cutlery blades.

These are my first and I can't wait to get my hands on them.

@ the OP - literally I was just in your shoes - I found the Warden that I liked the most via research and then put up a WTB and got lucky (the exact same thing with the AD) - I'd definitely reccomend putting an ad up...

Good luck!
