Even though for the future purchases I've set my eyes on the YCS-2 and the new Yvsa Bowie (when ready), I would like to know what other forumites think of the sherpa style k. and if anybody has one (a pix would be more than welcome), also if someone would be able to compare it to the GRS.
Can anybody help?
Ciao a tutti & grazie!

I wish I could find a Sherpa style! That has to be my favorite Khuk of all time. I am not sure if this is right but, it was made by Kancha Kami, a village kami, and he only made a few. The few that were made have been sold. There have been a few attempts at the knife by the kamis but they just can't seem to get it right. A similiar knife was for sale about a year ago. I will see if I can find a link for you.

By the way which one's Pink?

I believe Ray has at least one which Uncle has been trying to promote off him for a long time.

Those who attended the FL convention saw a Sherpa style made by Kancha Kami which is owned by RayC and now retired from service. I'm not sure even a wood model would work for this one. Every now and then when I was living in Nepal I'd see an old rusty Sherpa style and now I wish I'd have bought them all. Old too soon, smart too late.

It is indeed a great style! I kind of got hooked on it when I've first visited the HI website but I've never enquired. Thanks everybody for the explanations.
