Initial impressions and review- Surefire G2 LED

You're probably right about the run time. I have an old mag lite with an old 1w luxeon side emitter drop in module that I use as a work light. I have never run a set of batteries out in it they always go out of date first.

I only mention the terralux because they look like they give great output and are quite cheap, I'm hoping to pick one up myself next month for another old mag lite, along with a glass front lens.

The new surefire LED lights are way up there in terms of performance and quality though. I picked up a 6px to replace my old Incan 6p and it blows it away, and the build quality is way above the cheaper lights that I have tried. Disappointed about the plastic front lens though as the one on my 6p Incan ended up scratched to pieces. I guess they have to have a reason for people to pay for the high end lights like the lx2.

bladefixation- They are good dropins. I was able to get a Nite-Ize one locally, so that's what I use.
Rayban- No photobucket acct, discontinued light. No pics available, sorry!
