Injected religion in knife community

I for one and sick to death of the religious overtones or outright nonsense that has no place or purpose in the broader community - regardless of your religious preference.

Yes, of course, we can pick and choose which groups, pages, or people we associate with, but I just don't get why God has anything to do with the knife world. It is such a turn off to have that crap so influential in the community.

Again, I fully support religious freedoms and come at this from an atheist standpoint. It is just such a weird aspect of it all. Can't we just use the knife hobby and community for just that and that alone?

I know I will be in the minority here, but it is getting really old.

I don't know what community you are a part of (it clearly isn't this one) but I don't see what you are complaining about in this community. And even if I did I wouldn't consider it a problem.

It's really hard to comment without a specific example. We get reports about "religious posts" from time to time. Usually it turns out to be somebody stating that somebody or other said something unrelated to religion at church and the poster says where he heard it to give context.

I go to church from time to time. That does not make me a bad person.

Wow, you really didn't read my post at all. I said knife community in general - I never stated the forums specifically. I cam to the forums to get an opinion and dialogue about why religion has so much influence specifically to knife community and content across many platforms. I also was very clear to show support for religious diversity, and wanted to know why the hobby has to be so convoluted. What I learned is that you ALL just really embarrassed yourselves on this post. What a cesspool this group of people is now that I see your actual responses. You all need to do better. These were just trash responses.

You won't get honest discourse coming at a subject the way you have. I doubt honest discourse is what you wanted anyway....

So what your saying is you got molested by a priest as a kid and now you're pissed cause you found out he's into knives too? Or am I reading into that too much?

Oh friend you're gonna have a hard life with that attitude. The world won't always agree with you, it has a way of slapping you around for a while until you realize that you don't need it anymore. Then you can really say "'you do you".

You still have yet to provide a reference.

Let me see...you quote two mod responses and reply with that they didn't read your post at all, that they along with everyone else has embarrassed themselves because of this thread, their part of a cesspool group and last but not least, their responses were trash.

What a load of equine droppings. Are (or were since you are no longer with us) suggesting that this forum is not part of the knife community? You obviously were talking about this forum. Further saying things like "I support religious freedom" and then proceeding to call religion crap and attacking people for their beliefs shows either rank hypocrisy or a inconsistency in belief that borders on the schizoid. You clearly came here wanting to troll and perhaps hoping for a ban so that you could wallow in your own superiority (and dare I say self righteousness.) Congratulations you have certainly "shown" us. Please enjoy your smug and lonely victory.
