  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Injured A Hand...now what?

I swear you n pit are going to give me a blinkin heart attack..Because of the way my standard field is set this might have been easier for me..getting my LTC out and getting some fatwood was not the hard part. Even the splintered fuzzies was doable. Now employing the firesteel took a little bit of thinking. I did it by propping my lil Breeden over a stick and standing on it..the tinder was pinned partially under the blade with the starter splinters right there beside it and a little log cabin of twigs ready. I freely admit it took me 3 tries to figure out how I needed to prep the steps with set up time for each time app 5-7 minutes. I based my "test" on the poster who said what if I fell out of a boat into cold water and thus injured my hand/arm...in which case my "tools" would be where they always are..set up for a right handed person. I liked this one fellas..I can always count on yall to make me think "outa da box!" What your next creative and dastardly challenge going to be? Hummmmm?

Ah...it's good for ya, better than sittin around lookin' at a monitor :p

Glad to see you're giving it a try.

Hmmm, I don't know....maybe several years ago we could try the "how do you get across a cold river without getting you only set of clothes wet?". However I already no how and I will never try it again without a real reason to do so.
