Happened 2 days ago, early in the morning. Kids were driving me crazy. Was opening a plastic bag of tie-backs/zip-ties with the Delica, but was not completely focussed on what I was doing.... i pulled the knife across the outside (top) of my left hand, cutting 2 fingers. I knew that knife was razor sharp from the get-go, and LUCKY for me I barely made contact. There was lots of blood, but my wife was quick with the band-aids. By this morning the cuts had closed. Reckon it could have been much worse.

I have always prided myself on being careful and not getting cut, so I was disappointed with myself. But I did learn to have respect for the blade again, and I am major IMPRESSED with the sharpness of my Delica with ZDP189 steel

Pics or it didn't happen. Chicks dig Scars,
Anytime I pick up a Spyderco I tell myself go easy its a Spyderco.

It's funny how a Spyderco quickly reminds you to respect it....don't know how many times I have had to learn that lesson over and over and over.

So just to be absolutely fair to the Spydie involved, you were REALLY injured by the carelessness brought on by being distracted. I tried to blame a bad spelling test on my pencil one time, but that excuse didn't fly, either. :D

Truth be told, it was my momentary loss of concentration that caused the cut, so it was MY fault. Like I said, I just nicked myself, but the blood was quite impressive. It has pretty much cleared up. I was luckly, but it has taught me new respect for the blade.

If it doesn't bite you then you have to sell it :D It's truly yours when your blood mixes with its steel !
