Inkosi or Sebenza

The picture didn't give perspective? Do they need exact specs for shealthmaking or the like?

Would think the measurements are on CRK. [emoji848]

I couldn't really tell from the picture to be honest. Guess I could look up the specs. I was just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their heads.

Seems to be a pretty even split between the Sebenza and Inkosi. Might just have to linger around the knife shop until I make a decision. I liked both, just wondering if there is anything that makes either stand out or updated. Ready to pull the trigger, just dont know on what.

I like the small Inkosi better then the small 21 or even the small regular. I have owned all three. By better I mean smoother, nicer lock interface, stronger blade, etc. We are also nit picking. Its maybe 10% better IF it fits you. Both are good knives. The size is not much smaller then the 21, but it does not fit everybody hands. If they had not put in the finger cut outs it would have fit more hand sizes. The problem is the only way to know if it works for you is to handle one.

The Insingo is the better cutter.

Always going to agree with you on this.

Just one thing I want to mention, and it's my humble opinion;

Both are exceptional knives, but the pivot bushing on Sebenza's is something I just can't live without.

I'm not at all surprised there but, the Insingo blade just doesn't do it for me...
at least for the first CRK.
I'm curious if there's a noticeable difference in cutting ability between the clip points,
I kind of get the impression the Inkosi may be a bit more of a cutter than the 21
due to a higher grind

I don't understand the question. The Inkosi doesnt have an insingo blade yet... so why would you get it?

I have both and love both! Personally, I prefer the large Inkosi over the large 21 because of the action and the ceramic detent and lock interface. On the small side, I find the slimmer 21 preferable to the Inkosi.

I feel like the large sebenza is alot better cutter than the inkosi. The thinner blade geometry makes it slice better

Id go with the large Sebenza 21. Blade is thinner so it cuts better, also has the smoothest action of any production folder on the market. I own 3 sebenzas and one small inkosi so ive handled both. Inkosi is definitly smooth but you have to adjust to find sweet spot unlike sebenza u just tighten that sucker and its perfect everytime. Also personally I find that any knife over 1/8 inch thick is overkill. Do people not realize how hard it is to break a 1/8 inch thick piece of steel? Also, Inkosi has a shallower hollow grind so I dont think its a thin behind the edge. S35vn steel is plenty tough and chip resistant enough that ive never had an issue with any of my CRK's.

Over thinking it homie... either one was a winner.

Now go cut some stuff and start saving up for the 21's you'll want in addition to.

Nice!

I recently received a Large Micarta Inkosi.
In the past, I have had a 25..It was a nice knife, but found myself gravitating more towards my Umnumzaan and Sebenzas.
The Large Inkosi is just different enough from the 25 in my opinion that I will carry it more. Some of that may be related to it having a special meaning to me, but a home run in my opinion!

Congrats on your purchase(s). I have a Micarta 25 and I love it. That being said, I really want to look into the Large Inkosi. I am a bit weary about loss of stability due to the 'floating' stop pin but I haven't seen any complaints, yet.

No doubt that Inkosi is a great blade but Sebenza Regular or 21 are still my favourite.Pivot bushing, simplicity of maintenance and design is everything CRK is.Cheers.

^^^This here, and the CRK titanium to steel lock up is the one of the best framelocks in the knife industry.
