inlay

The thread on stamping into a blade gave me an idea. How hard would it be to inlay a small piece or nickel or similar into a blade? Not a damascus thing, but just a circle or so, far from the edge.

Probably not too hard. I would think that you would just heat up gold or silver engraving media over the spot you stamped(or the company's name). Or what would be slicker, is to fill in the filing on the thumb purchases on blades and lock releases on factory knives....personalize your knife. More options than a Harley

You can buy circles of different materials the inlays them with your logo on them as Bob T. does and others. Just use an end mill to put the pocket in then inlay the disk..
