I like the Photon Freedom and Inova Micro as much as the next guy (except that the Inova inevitably will turn itself on in your pocket). But when you get serious about a backup/emergency/keychain/always with you light, spend a few bucks and get an Arc Premium AAA. Its built like a tank, will last you the rest of your life, runs 9 hours to zero output, and eats an AAA that you can buy at any quicky mart in America.
