I was looking around and don't see much love for this knife but can't seem to why as it offers alot in my opinion. It seems comparable to the paramilitary 2 except more robust

It's a garbage product made of mystery steel components, by a garbage company. That about sums it. I'd never buy anything from that company.

Company has a track record of lies and using designs without permission. I wouldn't take one of their knives if it were being given away.

My vote don't support that garbage. There are lots of other reputable companies to support.

There has been many threads on them with lots of evidence against them do a search.

Quartermaster brings a load of baggage to the table that I think the majority of us simply aren't willing to deal with. There are serious questions as to where the knives are actually manufactured vs where they claim to be manufactured, one of their people heavily involved with their operation was caught lying about what blade steels were used at the company he wprked for previously and at least one designer has made allegations that he was never compensated for his work with them (maybe even that he never gave permission for them to use his design, I don't remember the details).

They have a few designs that I honestly like, but I'm not willing to gamble with a company like that.

Garbage, bought a mr Spicoli and dropped in by accident on my hard "wood" floor and it cracked, I sent it in for warranty and they said it was completely normal.... Yea really, needless to say I'm not getting another and basically gave that one away. Don't waist your money bro.

Agree with everything said. And that would be why you see no love for it here.

I very much dislike Quartermaster as a company, but I like the Warren Thomas design so I picked one up a Mr. Roper XL on the secondary market and unfortunately it's actually really well made. Would never publicly advocate for people to buy one, but I like mine.

I'm with you...integrity is important to me, and so I resolved not to buy from them, but the QSE-8 Doc Brown wharncliffe was right up my alley. So when a used one came up on the exchange, I picked it up since it would not only help a member, but not add a dime to Quartermaster's income. I'm enjoying it a lot, though it's more about the visuals and action than the slicing ability.

The company is persona non grata on this forum, look elsewhere for information.

yeah the mr roper xl knives are actually really good EDCs that would probobly be very popular at the price they are sold for if they were made by a different company

I don't know much about the apparent controversy behind Quartermaster, but I know that their designs make me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Quartermaster just got caught with a blatant lie by the most reknowned ig troll. He caught them red handed with pictures to prove their bogus claim of USAmade is a complete lie. They posted a pic of there knives on a mill with the exact same mill, vise, hoses and tools as a chinese knife company posted.....
