Well, I'm feeling a bit more grown today more than ever!! I finally got the raise I've been hoping for that will put me into comfort zone instead of strapped, and I also found a bader 2 for sale close enough for me to consider driving to it (although still quite a distance).

I'm just wondering if I'm letting my excitement get ahead of me. I have limited info on it other than a picture and a few brief conversations with the man, and naturally forgot to ask which motor it had. I'm ok with a single or 3 phase motor as it gives me an excuse for variable speed. It does come with a ton of attachments and drive wheels and I'm thinking that's why I like the way it sounds. I'm going to check it out Sunday and he's asking $800.

Wondering if there is anything I should look and/or listen for, and also if this is a reasonable deal. How expensive would it be to replace bearings throughout if need be? Where would you get them? I'm ok with rebuilding things just want to make sure it's worth the investment. Can't get a picture to link but it does look rather clean, I'm just concerned about its potential age and wear.

Sorry to be so long winded, but I would appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Justin

$800 for a Bader grinder with attachments is a steal. if you don't want it let me know, ill arrange how to get it with a cool aid smile on my face.
the motor really don't matter because you can always buy another new one to replace it with if needed.

Good to know especially since the attachments are great, but I would be a bit disappointed sizing and replacing every single bearing on the entire machine/attachments. I am in high hopes that I can plant it on my work bench and finally see what I've been missing! Nothing like buying something "new" and having to wait for parts while it taunts you on the bench.

The guy said it was listed at a slightly higher price and he barely got a bite. I'm almost a bit surprised, but he received it from his knife making neighbor in an assortment of tools and didn't have much of a description. Thankfully for me this one happens to be the one he really doesn't need.

Thanks again guys, I always appreciate the help. I'll let ya know what happens!
