Thank you for looking.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like that textured steel surface is pretty inviting to rust.

It is my pleasure to post the pics. Thank you kindly for your kind words.

I've got a weapon against rust. The same one I used on my damascus First Ring, Han Jian, double-edged sword:

great lookin knife, just wish they (chinese companies) would start tapping for us southpaws

Nice! A lot of folks are talking about Tuf Glide. I'm gonna have to try the stuff out soon.

As a collector, well mostly because I have several users, I like to think that I can shepherd cool cutlery thru time so some other aficianado down the line can get the same kicks that I have enjoyed so it is hard to turn your back on such a product.

I can't tolerate the smell and don't like to get the stuff on my hands so recco gloves and adequate venting. For the few knives that I've treated (mostly damascus) I inspect the blade, and any other part to be treated, with a magnifying glass under good lighting. Remove all issues, only found smudges and such so far, with 91% isopropyl alcohol (venting needed again). Let dry and have at it with the tuf glide treated cloth. Let sit and gently wipe clean. Let sit for days. And it is ready to rock.

PS, If there was ever a good time to used cut-resistant gloves it was when I rubbed tuf glide into the perfectly sharp double-edged Han Jian sword. Don't ask me how I know. Pass the bandaids please...

Is Inron still around?

I wonder because the vendor I bot the MY802 from was not around long enough for me to even leave feedback. It was impossible to leave feedback. I tried. This is a first. It would have been positive fb.

TBH I have no idea, last I checked there were over 170 knife companies, so it seems like a booming market for China, dont know about the quality of them though, if the company didnt have an instant hit it mightve sunk
