I'm going to add a few shots of the new one, as some people say I am insane for liking the 3/16

Love that Shadetree and liner combo... That is an awesome Package with the taper!

One of the sales sites had a ruby Shadetree 3/16 Kephart that sorely tempted me. Just couldn't figure out how I'd explain it to the Frau.

Echoing Tha Baron, that looks like a great combo. Of course I'm a sucker for blue pinstripes.... 👍

The knife and sheath are superbly crafted. The Kephart is the belt knife I have been searching for.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but you can't accept PMs. If you're looking for a traditional Fiddleback Kephart, Bladeco has one in "Tuxedo" for well-under $300. It would make a perfect first Fiddleback.

The knife connection appears to have one in Padouk as well.

I think so too. I couldn't tell much about the color of it when I first saw it in the post, but I new I'd love the blade and tang configuration and I knew there hadn't been any of the green shade trees yet that I didn't like. It was beautiful as usual when I opened the package.

I didn't relize kepharts could have such great neutral balance and in 3/16ths -wow. That would make for an awsome workhorse.
