Yesterday, a few of the girls back here at the Busse Base Camp started talking about getting into shape and wanting to be more fit. Out of nowhere someone said "Why don't we do Tough Mudder?" A few of us looked at each other with excitement along with some worried glances. After looking up the videos on the website there was no one that wasn't convinced that it was a great idea. Why not, right? Word spread like wildfire and before we knew what was happening we had a team! After discussing it, we all decided that we should wait to do the mud run until next year so we can train this year. I know, genius right? I can't wait to do this, it's going to be so much fun.

I am so excited to do this! We will def take a lot of pictures for everyone :D

A couple of guys at work started doing that. Then they kept finding ones that were even harder and harder. Good luck to you!

Oh boy, the wife's boss runs in the mud runs here locally. She recently came into work black and blue a couple days after the event.

Go get em girls:thumbup:

So, are the guys going to run too?:D

Thanks guys!

I've been wanting to do some mud runs for a while, and I keep finding more and more of them to sign up for. I plan on starting small with a few color runs this year, you can't go wrong with being covered in colored powder. :D

Pain only lasts a little while and there is always a cool story to go along with bruises. We have both girls and guys on our team. Everyone that has said they're going is pretty excited about the run.

Just looking for a little clarification. You did say some of the gals here at the Busse shop;):D

GIve em hell:)

One of the gals from our SAR team is doing one today; looking forward to her report...!

I think there is even a Zombie one of those :)

I can't wait for this. I have been asked to do a couple of them but timing was not on my side. This one will happen.

Good Luck. Just seems like a lot of work for a beer. I am sure you will have a good time.

Wife ran the Ultimate Mud Warrior in OKC a few weeks back and had a blast with it -- you might want to look into that one as a way to gauge how much training you'll need to do for the Tough Mudder -- costs less, shorter distance, similar types of obstacles.

We are going to do a Color Me Rad run too! Now THAT looks like a lot of fun. You run around and get brightly colored corn starch thrown at you! :D

Later this year I'm going to try to get the rest of the team we've built to join me in a few color runs as well as a Savage Race if I can find one close. I'm doing a Spartan Race in May, just to see how much I'll have to be ready for. I am hoping that by May, the Spartan Race will be a cake walk and I'll have nothing to worry about going into Tough Mudder.
