Knifeart will be the exclusive dealer for the Insingno.I callled crk...talked to

Heather.Theyll be coming out sometime in the next month. She also said the

tip/top edge is sharp but not sharpened. Im thinking seriously about getting

one who else is??

I must admit, I find it more appealing than the regular Sebenza.... but there is also the Numzaan to consider...

I would not mind either one.

Knifeart has all 50 of the numbered versions in stock or already shipped out, mine is in the air somewhere between Memphis and Sacramento right now.

There are only 15 numbers left listed on the website (including #42,you-know-who).

I've been waiting ten years for this knife, I wasn't about to let #20 get away from me...

Right on James! My #40 will b here 2morrow. Can't wait, a long time coming.
:thumbup::thumbup:
Oh yeah, it's also my understanding that Knifeart will be getting these exclusively till Dec of 2010. Then the knife will b a regular production item available anywhere.

After ten years of wishing and collecting it is here!

Wooohooo!

Does anybody know if more runs will be made? I will absolutely keel over if I missed out on this quiet little release.

Knife Art has the exclusive for 1 year & then CRK will be selling them in there normal product line. You can buy all you want. I talked to CRK Christmas Eve.

This has to be my absolute favorite blade style. I'll be owning one of these for sure!

I'm bummed I missed out on the first run, though. :(

I don't get it. It looks absolutely identical to the Sebenza but with a slightly differently shaped blade. Am I missing something?

It is a Sebenza with a wharncliffe blade. It's called the Insingo, meaning razor.
Many people have been hoping for a wharncliffe or sheepsfoot Sebenza for years now.

That blade shape is where the magic is. :D

It's the same reason that I like the Spyderco Salt I so much. The corrosion resistance is awesome, but I've found that the shape is what makes it truly useful for me. Give me that shape in a Sebbie, and I'm a happy camper indeed.

Now for a small version, and a micarta inlay version...

We are never truly satisfied...

Yeah, a smaller version would be nice. I do have something similar I edc on S90V but with a hole.

How does the shape of the Insingo's blade make it more useful than that of the Sebenza? The cutting surface appears to be about the same and they have the same type of steel (S30V).

I guess the spine of the Insingo's blade is a bit more aggressive looking but how does that improve the blade's cutting ability?

Again, I'm not trying to be difficult here; I'm just trying to understand the significance of this little tweak.
