Insingo availability.......soon

That blade profile has greater tip control. For slicing open things like bags or wires or little packages or whatever you like.

That slow arcing modified wharncliffe also is great for cutting because what you are cutting never slides off near the tip. In a motion like whittling or sharpening a pencil. You don't sort of lose the last inch of blade in the regular curve upwards. It is like the whole blade is one big sweet spot. At least for chores like cutting through cardboard or whittling.

To me this shape is the ultimate utility blade shape for this period of time. The other shape is more of a hunting style. I believe once you have tried the modified shape you will agree. I greatly enjoy using a Spyderco Rock Lobster. I held it up to my computer screen against the insingo and the arc of the cutting edge seems roughly the same. Which is why I ordered the insingo asap and without fear of my wifes wrath. It will be worth it.

How does the shape of the Insingo's blade make it more useful than that of the Sebenza? The cutting surface appears to be about the same and they have the same type of steel (S30V).

I guess the spine of the Insingo's blade is a bit more aggressive looking but how does that improve the blade's cutting ability?

Again, I'm not trying to be difficult here; I'm just trying to understand the significance of this little tweak.

It seems to be the best utility-type design I can find. If you're skinning animals or something like that it's probably not that great, but for cutting cardboard, cable ties, etc., it's the best.

Edit: I see slimshaneee beat me to it. Great minds think alike.... :D

I will be in for one as soon as funds allow. I always liked the 21 handle style, but hated the 21's pointy blade. This fixes that by offering a great utility looking blade with the 21 handle style. I think its an awsome design !!!
