Insingo soon to be available in regular production INLAYS available!!!

According to Heather, bless her heart, my Large Sebenza 21 Insingo with double silver thumb lugs and Black Canvas Micarta inlays should be done in a week or two.

In time for the bladeshow!I hope they have some there!

wow been away from BFC for a while..

I figured the feedback would be positive! :D
I may be putting in an order soon for an Insingo with Micarta.

Damascus would be oooh so sexy! AH! haha

I ordered a Small Insingo about a month ago.

I contacted them today and they said they don't have any blades, so will be another month or so.

In an email received from Heather June 6, 2011:

"This is a new knife to our line and we have not produced one yet. I hope to have it available by the end of June."

Figured I'd pass this info along. Spoke to Heather, and they are only offering this on micarta and plain Sebenzas. They will also not do a blade swap at this time :(.

Could you elaborate more?

From what I read the Insingo will be available in plain Ti or with Micarta only?

Thanks!

Sorry if I was a bit vague. I sent an email asking if they could fit an Insingo blade if I sent in my large micarta and small unique graphic. I was told not at this time. She also mentioned as you stated that they are only offering the Insingo on plain and micarta Sebenzas.

I was told to expect several months for my large micarta. I went with double blue lugs.

Placed my order for a small insingo with silver double thumblugs and micarta inlays...the wait begins!

Is it the same price for a large 21 micarta with double lugs?

There is no difference in price for an Insingo blade vs drop point. Double lugs are $35 extra. Just add that to the prices on the CRK price list.

One large on the way. Was between this and the large starbenza. Unfortunately, my work environment is becoming less tolerant of large knives, so I am hoping the blade shape will not draw so much attention. Someday, I am sure I will be forced to use a pair of rounded nose scissors. :(

Why does everyone care so much for double lugs??????I could give a hoot

I like the option of opening with both hands easily, thats my reason.Pretty simple I guess. Its in no way a deal breaker, but if I have that option...
Also just when opening and closing it watching TV or reading.

BTW- Ordered a Lrg 21 with Mammoth Bark, RainDrop Damascus and double gold lugs today( Heather said a year)...the LOONNNGGGG wait begins, but this is my Grail Sebbie :) :)

Wow... that one will definitley be worth the wait. Im on a few months and counting waiting for my raindrop 21.
Its easier just to forget about it so the time goes by quicker.
