Inspecting a new knife

Any idea wad things do I need to look out for in a new Becker BK1? How do I know if there is any factory defects or any other loose things on that knife? Any one have similiar situations? Please share! thanks!:D
 
The only problem that I've seen or heard about the BK-1 was the kydex sheath breaking. I have eight Beckers (including a BK-1 which was great out of the box) and only had one problem with a BK-9. The kydex sheath liner was cracked and the blade was severely warped which seemed to happen in the storage and shipping process (a victim of a lift truck incident, maybe?). I sent it back to Camillus and it was replaced with a new one of excellent quality :) .

Ok, Thanks for your info! So you are saying that there is no need to check the blade and stuff cause it will most probably be no problem right?
 
I believe that you will find that the Becker line to be solid knives, especially the BK-1.
