Well guys this knife was inspired by some of you. I think you may be able to guess the primary inspiration. I am getting close to being done with it so I thought I would show it off and get some feadback on any changes I should make before its done. It was forged form a buggy spring (thats a hint) the fittings are mild steel textured in the forge and heat colored. The handle is Elk antler. Fully convex blade with a mustard and ferric chloride patina/etch.

I am going to be taking this puppy with me to Ashokan. It should be done by then. :D

Thanks for looking and all the help! This forum and all its members are the $#!+

Nice! I like that guy's knives too, very inspiring. Now if I had the skill to reproduce something like that... well done.

who would use buggy springs? :D

Buggs Buggy ???

I know buggy springs how silly. Thanks for the compliments everyone. And thanks Raymond for the super pointy convex inspiration. :)

Great looking Blade Will

It took about 1 second for me to figure out that Ray Richard was the inspiration for that one .......... and it was the look, not the buggy spring hint.

The guys a wizard !! He's been the inspiration for several blades I've recently put together too :)

A pretty good indication of how we feel about you and your style Ray  Thanks Brother

And thanks for sharing pics of that beautiful blade Will ;)

Edit to add: How did you treat the Elk antler to get that look Will ?

:)

Here it is all finished up. I got it done just before leaving for Ashokan.
David the elk antler looked like that when I got it from the Elk farm. I like the look its so white. I think the contrast with the black fittings is super cool.
Thanks again for all the compliments
