wow that hamon is fantastic! Interesting curves to the handle, did you design it like that for using it a particular way or because it looked neat?

Thanks fishface5.

I did not design it, 4 years ago when I started making knife , I have seen Cloud Cutter made by Don Fogg and Jimmy Fikes, I was wondering, and I like very much and I do it today. Now I know that it actually works, This knowledge that I learn from knife . Thanks to Don and Jimmy.

A very nice version of the Cloud Cutter. I too have found great pleasure in that design.

Your hamon is very nice and very reminiscent of the clouds. BUT!!! That teak scabbard is an amazing work in itself and a beautiful addition to the piece.
The pierced carving showing the hamon... Wow... Absolutely beautiful work!!!

PS... I love Thailand. I have been there several times for months on end on some of the smaller southern islands. It heartens me to see the photo of where you live.

Great job, the cloud cutters and jungle honeys are very cool knives.

I think you did a wonderful job, love the teak sheath

Gorgeous knife and sheath. Did you try it out before putting the finishing touches on it?

I think I watched your YouTube videos of forging, shaping and filing that! I was wondering how it would look when it was finished. Great work!

I've always been a fan of that design and your version is one of the best I've seen. Beautiful work! Especially with the unique sheath.

That is excellent, I really appreciate your sharing this with us. I especially like the way you shaped the handle and the scabbard is terrific!

I'm going to send this post to Jimmy, I think he'll really like your interpretation.

Excellent interpretation of Fike's Jungle Honey!

Very nice work indeed, as pointed out to me by Win Heger, and a most excellent interpretation of Fikes' Jungle Honey from back in the early 90's. I can say this with some authority, I believe, since I am that very same Fikes. :) Beautiful work you've done!!!

And, Win... expect a note from me later today. It seems as if I have indeed managed to haul my aching and falling apart carcass back from the land of the broken-down and incapacitated old geezers to the point of being able to get the shop open and the forges lit. I'm just about to finish up a large tanto-ish fighter and have ten or so smaller pieces in the works. :p

Fred Perrin and Elsa Fantino were just here from France for a few days visit before heading off to the Blade show. Now there's some inspiration! Loved watching them working in the forge and was striker for Elsa on a couple of blades.

Hi to all the guys and gals here. I've missed this place.

Jimmy
