I've had a lot of help from you guys, both personally and via hours of pouring through old threads. I really appreciate your input and knowledge. If I may have a few minutes of your time...
In the last 3 weeks I've made 3 knives using a yardsale 4x36" beltsander, an 8" harbor freight grinder and a fistful of sandpaper. I am constantly trying to raise my standards, so please critique.

I can't seem to load the image of the third (second in series actually)
*any advice on how to load images from files on my PC?*

at any rate, Thanks again for all of your help and motivation!

I like the second knife!
A good exaple that one doesn't need a $10.000,- workshop to make good knifes.
(try a second post with that photo, some forums limit the amound of pictures per post)

A person can invest SEVERAL Thousand dollars for 'top-o-the-line' equipment and still not be able to make a knife worth a flip,,, Or someone can take average equip. and make a masterpiece (as you've just proven)... I've been making knives for years now and I'll bet I don't have over $500 in everything (except for a benchtop milling machine which I don't need to make 90% of my knives)...
That being said...
How long have you been making knives? Bkuz if these were your first few, I can't wait to see what you'll be making a year from now! How did you do the serrated edge in the top pic? It looks like a Tanto, the pic is kinda dark, more lighting nexttime. My beltsander is a 2x72, seems to work great. If you want, I'll sent pics and plans on how I made it...
BTW,,, nice work!

I know I would be interested in seeing ther pictures and plans for your grinder.

I'm mid way myself through a welded up "no weld grinder" but I'm always on the look out for how others did it.

I was surprised how good those appear. Nice first knives.

Thanks guys Mykul, you've been a real pillar in this effort. Please do e-mail me some info on that sander. I would really appreciate it. Did you ever get the knife scale wood?
Steven: I can still see the images, try reloading the page.

To be totally honest, I'd really rather hear all the "bad" parts so that I may sharpen my eye for details.
Thanks again,
Matt
