Inspired by Ban's mods...

A job at the Wauseon shop...That's it! I'm emigrating to the States right now :)

As for messing up with the heat treat (Cobalt's comment), I proceeded very slowly, stopped when the blade was hot when touching it (hot, but I was able to keep it in the hand so not REALLY hot). Let the blade cool down in water, and keep grinding with very little pressure. It took time, for sure, but I hope the heat treat hasn't been altered...What do you guys think? How do you guys proceed?

...and thanks for the good comments :D!

If the portion of the the knife being grounded is cool enough to hold with your bare hands then it should be ok. I always keep at least one digit on the surface of the opposite side being ground to feel when it gets too warm.

Wash is in but Grinducci is banned from the grinding room for one year!. . . We love the guy but we fear his grinding prowess!!!!. . . His grinducci-fu is weak!. . . Well, maybe "weak" isn't the right word to describe it. . . it's more like "confusing". . . That's it. . . his grinducci-fu is confusing!!!!:eek:

Jerry :D

.

Yes he is very Grinducci-con-fu-sing!:D:eek:;)

Here he is practicing his "Drunken-Hog" style of Kung-Fu in preparation for some more grinding:D

TASTY!!!!!

0h yeah, Me LIKEY a lot. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thank you for the closeups!! :D:thumbup: I'm all over the choil, but everything you did to it looks great! Very C:cool::cool:L.

I like what you have done. the meaner almost looks like a factory custom shop blade. You have given me a few ideas, now keep up the great work.

Hey didn't I win the bet at blade. Whatever it was I won it. I know that if I had lost my next knife would have had to go to Grnducci, but for the life of me I cannot remember what I won. Crap. I don't even remember what the bet was about? oh well.

At least my stuff won't be going to grinducci. although his Micarta-Fu is excellent.:thumbup:

Wasn't the bet over whether Jerry (or a independant participant) could tell your cheap Scotch from his Pigs Nose in a blind taste test? I thought is was if Jerry won, I got to modify your next blade, if you won, you got a $100 shop credit? :confused:

Now, I see a whole lot of 'dissn Grinducci here, all I'm waiting for is some new belts for the new grinder to start modifying some knives. Now that the Sus Scrofa has been taken down, hopefully they will be shipping soon, FEAR IT!!!

I like the mods to the scales. It really brought out the black color. Thanks for sharing.
