I haven't seen anybody post or talk about these videos before. I've watched them so many times now; never get tired of it.

Short documentary on an Australian knifemaker. Incredible lifestyle, inspiring character.

Process of replicating a tsuba. I can't even begin to describe my awe.

Don thansk for the videos, I had seen Ford Hallam's videos on the tiger tsuba, very inspiring and awesome to watch him work.
The Australian smith was very fascinating!

Wow... that tsuba is unreal!

I'd love to meet both of those guys and watch them work for... a year. ;)

Watched the first video, thanks for the link. :)

I'll admit I thought that guy was just a whole lot of crazy at first (a white guy with dreadlocks down to his butt is pretty unusual, no? ;) ).... But after watching it I gained a lot of respect for not only his appreciation of his life, but also his efforts to teach the boys. He seems like a natural teacher... clear direction, CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, and a lot of friendly motivation. VERY COOL!

I like his soaker tub too. ;) :D

Still not a fan of the hair. :foot: ;) :D

I really like the first video... what a character. I have seen the tsuba vid many times and still get inspired by it. Thanks.

I'm jealous of the lifestyle in the first video!!! I really appreciate his willingness to share/teach!

So I take it we will see no WIP about how you do your dreads in the future? lol

Thanks for posting those. I stumbled upon the apprentice video a few months back, I enjoyed watching it again. Just goes to show, there is a LOT of talent outside of the web. . .
