Instagram doesn't play nice with Knife makers

To have a business page on Instagram is a really good idea. In my opinion u can reach a lot of customers there

Have not tried the Promotion on Instagram yet, but always get that “this post is doing well, claim your $40 Promotion credit” message. Does it actually work? Or will they just say no since it’s a knife? Extremely happy with my workload now, but always curious.

Its against FB and IG policies to publicize any knife with the sole exception of culinary knives. Since this is precisely my line or work I had no problems promoting posts, I did have to insist because a bot determined it was a knife, but once settled the dispute with an human rep that they were culinary, the ad ran fine.

Unfortunately, there is a similar problem with Instagram. It is expected that your business page with knives will be regarded as a weapon. It is tough to start from scratch and create a new page. I would recommend you to buy real followers and likes for your profile. You need to organize the profile itself in a more neutral way. This is necessary to ensure that your page is not banned because of the content. So, I think you will succeed. It would just be stupid to miss such a platform, because at the moment, it is the best platform for marketing, and it is also free.

Have you ever had experience selling knives on Instagram? Do you have successful cases?
I wanna try to resell knives, but I don`t understand how to promote it without bans. Is it ok to buy Instagram followers?

Buying IG followers is extremely profitable for the person selling the followers. You are not going to get a targeted audience or even real accounts in some cases. The key to building IG is steady content. Try at least 3 posts a day.

I read/watched something that showed purchased instagram followers actually works against you.
They don't do the same engagement activity that a real person does.
Real authentic users and natural growth is better, as it should be.

You don't need likes, you need sales.
They are not the same.

Most of my sales comes from social networks, IG being the number one followed by TW and FB. Buying followers will get you nowhere, you need followers that like what you do, a bulk number just for the sake of making a big number of followers serves no purpose in selling.

The only way is to organically grow an audience, takes time but mostly perseverance and constancy in posting at least 3 times a week, month after month and year after year. And ALSO short updates almost daily. It needs to be part of your work routine, otherwise it doesn't work.

Sponsored posts help as long what you sell is not expensive, the signal to noise ratio is too high, meaning you will have a TON of questions and very little purchases, but if you keep doing it, customers will notice you.

We looked at Etsy but the fees kept us away.

On IG I try to do 2-3 posts a day and a couple stories. The posts are shared automatically to FB. It takes a while to build a following but things sell once you do.

It may seem like the thing to do - but NEVER rely on social media to sell your knives or supply a steady income. I'm not saying to not do it - I'm just saying to not put all your big eggs in that basket. They can yank it at any time.
Build a clientele and cater to THEM while continually adding to that body of customers.

probably Instagram recognizes a knife as a weapon and because these kinds of things are not allowed there it may have some problems. maybe you have to try again with the name of kitchen stuffs...
