started form one block of steel i milled dovetailed and ground out a blade of this high ware steel
steel thickness is about .5 inch and the ironwood make the handle a bit wider
hardness 61-62rc and belt finished
the blade is just over 5.5 inch and over all length of just under 10.5
it is ground thin with a 48' radius platen. this is not a camp knife (least not for batoning with into wood )
im letting the buyer pick out the sheath 1 as i have onto got it sent out 2 every one has a different style and way of carry (i can recamend a few great leather workers if you dont have one you like dealing with )
im asking 600$

Very handsome knife you made there Butch, looks like a lot of elbow grease went into making it.
Great looking ironwood.

Wow Mr. Harner. I don't comment on BF very often (though I'm a daily lurker). However, that is one magnificent knife. One of the nicest I've seen in recent memory. Really wish I had the dough. Congrats!

Super cool! I'm especially impressed that you managed to taper the "tang" with integral construction. Machining 10V isn't any fun even before HT. For the materials used and Butch's craftsmanship this is a nice price!

thanks to all

also thanks for that most people jsut dont know how "fun" it is to work with cpm10v (its fun to cut lots os stuff while it hardly looses an edge but no fun when you can kill a 220 grit belt in 2 passes one a blade ths size )
