Well, Matthew Gregory's excellent post here with his chef set in AEB-L inspired me to put these up here. They have been posted elsewhere recently, having been finished about a month ago.

Very simple knives, just a piece of steel and a piece of wood.
Ladder pattern 1080/15n20 and cocobolo tapered wa handles.

Enjoy! Feedback solicited. The Google Photos links didn't work for everyone here, so I uploaded to Photobucket as well (haven't been over there in forever!) and am hotlinking from there instead. Hopefully this solves the issue.

And, one more with a related western style chef included for fun, mosaic bolster...

thats a mighty high bar set for such simple stuff ;) Congrats on the baby boy too!

It's what is done with a piece of steel and a piece of wood and my God you did it well. Congrats on the new addition as well Salem.

Huh. I can still see them. There must be some incompatibility issue, I do hate what Picasaweb has devolved into...

OK, maybe these will work now that I've changes the privacy settings on that album.

Dammit, I can't see the photos!!!!

Really, it almost doesn't matter. I don't think I've ever seen any of your blades that didn't wow me, so let's just assume I CAN see them.

WOW!!!!!

;):D

Weird. I can see the pics on Chrome, but not on Safari. Very nice set.

Thanks for mentioning that work-around Joe, perhaps that will help folks that can't see it. As simple as using a different browser, hopefully.

Thanks guys! Got a PM from a member mentioning that the pic links still were not working, so I hotlinked them from a different picture host. Hope you all can see them now.

Very, very nice, Salem. I know the new owner will be very happy with those. My only critique, and it may be just personal choice, would be to shorten the bolsters by maybe 1/3rd?

Really, really nice set of knives.
