Here's this new E-nep, 14 inches OAL, forged from W2. The fittings are sterling silver with a mokume ferrule, and the handle is pamele sapele.

That looks sweet!

How thick is the edge? Is it stropped with your famous Flitz/computer paper strops? Has it made hair sculptures? Cleaved armadillos?

Thanks!

The edge has a "reverse distal taper", (thinnest towards the choil transition area and thickest towards the sweet spot and point). The back (spine) has a full distal taper towards the point.

Sounds like another insane edge,Tai!
I'm definitely in agreement with everyone else.
Great work.
Beautiful knife.
btw/thanks for posting specs.

Amazing knife, Tai. Are you edge quenching that W2 and if so, how?

Yes, It's just geometry, temperature and timing,... and a little luck. I used a muffle furnace to heat the blade, and edge quenched in vegetable oil. :)

I like how it has all these swoopy curves flowing, and then it also has these flat sharp-edged facets on the handle and spine. I like the contrasts.

It's always more than meets the eye with Mr. Goo.

Thanks.....I just stuffed a 3 inch black iron pipe muffle into my propane forge and I have a big W2 bowie that is going to be the first test subject.
