well theres actually alot more too it than that, but ill showcase that later on.

Wow! Impressive. Love seeing stuff like this. Would you mind sharing some specs? Size, materials (blade steel, etc)..

Lazy.... I wish. It probably takes longer this way. Alot of calc and programming. Id have prefered to do it manually like my first ones, but this is less stressful.

Well, sure....anyone can do it that way if they are lazy :)

Really impressive.

Oh and specs .

I start with .500 stock 6al4v ti. Blade is .180 s90v. Oal is 8 inches. 3.5 inch blade frame ti tip. But cutting edge is at the 3 inch mark.

that's great- nice work. I bet that must be pretty light, even though it looks like a monster.

What's it run you for that machine shop to do the roughing for you! The cost per benefit margin must me small! Man, I've been chasing you around the boards trying to catch you:)

Whats the cost on that insert shell mill, looks like parting inserts for a lather:) Or is it a shell for a horizontal?

The sandvic slitter was almost 4000$ with all the inserts i needed. Its expensive to use a cnc in any small quantity of anything. So its more for the love of technology. Irs not really possible for the average maker to use a machinist for there parts. You need to do larger runs.

But i get the shop free. Its a friends dads.
