  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Interested in a Buck 124.

A "+" coded 124 from '91? How cool for you! With the mention that you may collect them, might I suggest something that may interest you? In 1991 (+) the 124 came in four configurations: laminated birch, black Pakkawood, solid rosewood, and the not so very common (300 possibly produced) white Corian examples. Collecting all four is a decent feat in itself. Which handle scales do you now have? BTW...you are 25% finished with '91 124s! Gotta look on the bright side when you can...

There is also a camo wood version from that era. The camo wood has alternating layers of tan, green and brown pakkawood in the laminate. As I understand it 250 were made but considering how difficult they are to come by the number may be much fewer than that. I have never been able to confirm the existence of the rosewood version. However, I do know that due to a material shortage around 1985, a second, darker color of red birch was used for a time. There is also a 250 piece cocobola version made from tan pakkawood. FYI.

Hello Richard and Thanks for the extra information. Knowledge is power. I have heard of the camoflauge, but not a tan. How exciting those two should look! As far as the solid rosewood, Joe remains skeptical as well  however, I know of four for certain and two of those have been in these paws. Mine needs a 'nose-powder' as it saw some very light use so when Joe sees it, perhaps documentation can be substantiated that, like talking M-Ms and Santa, we can all say "They do exist"!:p

I'm not sure, but the scales are some type of laminated wood, so I'm assuming that they are laminate birch.
