This is probably old news to most people on the Buck forum, but I found this 2001 Popular Mechanics article very interesting. Now, if I could only remember the title and author of the book on Buck's history, I would go and try to find it.

Don't know if this is the one to which you are referring, but the one I have is "The Story of Buck Knives...A Family Business" by Tom Ables.

...That article has been around the forum quite a few times. No matter how often it shows up I never tire of reading it over again. It's message is one that just never seems to get old to me. Inspiration, motivation, imagination and dedication to an ideal all seem to descriibe Buck then as well as now...

Nice article!!

If you want the book you could also email Larry Oden, he has some from time to time.

Thanks, guys! I am definitely going to track down one of those books.

OK, call me crazy, but I ran into another article about Buck's move from California to Idaho. An interesting read for those that haven't already seen the article. :o

Thank you A.P.F. Keep up the finds. Good to someone is taking time out of Buck buying and reading some.

Try again. Good to see someone is taking time out of Buck buying and reading some.
