I'm gonna have one of these vices!!!! My old Wilton doesn't have its swivel base which was probably why I was able to dig it out of the trash in the first place but it has came in really handy many times over the years in spite of that.

I haven't seen the Woodcraft vise in person as it's a new item. It closely resembles my old Columbian model makers vise which I was referring to. The Versa Vise listed in Brownells catalogue for $220 looks to be bigger than this one and a ringer for the Columbian... Doesn't say who makes it.
