...Just wondered if I was the only one to notice that Ebay has uncerimoniously removed the ability to do an "Advanced Search" when looking for items or things from buyers you may want to buy from...Seems I'm unable to look up buyers or sellers anymore...I sure hope it's just me being affected and not another method by Ebay to strip us of the ability to look at Buyers or Sellers...:grumpy: :thumbdn:
 
Advanced search is still there, they've changed the layout, I guess.

I don't know if it still does everything it used to, though.

They may have a plan to charge you for using certain things.....that would fit the general attitude.

...It is???...Please direct me to the area where upon it resides...I am an "Old Guy" ya know...and vision is about the fourth thing that goes with age...I've looked for 20 minutes now and I see nothing on the typical auction page that says "Advanced Search"...:eek: :p :eek:
 
It's (where you type your key words) up toward the top left instead of the far right.

I guess the advanced search in small blue letters is right about top middle (no, now that I look again it's a little right of center on my screen).

It threw me for a while, too.......still is, I guess.
 
And I could have sworn the "Site Map" was gone for a while, but now I found it. Maybe they're still playing around with the format.

The "Site Map" is the only place I have found the "Advanced Search" function at...It is NOT on any auction page I pull up at all...Go figure huh?...
 
mine hasnt changed at all its still there just to the right of the main search button

CRAP!!! I'm nearing the end of an auction, and there's no time to update my software!!! :mad: I hope my non-eBay auto-bidder still works... :(

eBay seems to change their code about once a month... :grumpy:

Here's my plan, DarrylS...Three open windows; all on the same auction; all already signed in and a different bid (ex: $50, $75, $100) and all set to "Confirm Bid"...Then at 20 seconds, send the first ($50); 15 seconds, send the second ($75); and at 10 seconds, send the third ($100)...That should nullify any last minute snipers... ;)

Of course, if my ceiling is too low, it won't matter...but I've been having good luck with this method... :thumbup:

...LOL...You gotta know how and when to hit the right buttons that way Trax...With the sausages hangin' off each of my hands I tend to hit 3 keys at the same time when I move too fast...:eek: :D ...Too much "thinkin' " fer this small mind to handle as well...:p

...I just fed the mouse that's running in the turbine that generates my power so I hope it's gettin' a solid 120 @ 60...:eek: ...It seems I have a different version of Ebay or sumthin' Dave...No big deal, I learn to adapt eventually...LOL...:p

yea i was cought off guard by the shift
happen jest after i loaded a update from micky soft
at first i thought it was due to the msupdate
addatuionaly i started getting security alearts on tiff's being out of date !

I did... ;) :thumbup: You can go ahead and close up the guest room...I won't be needing it... :D

But I succumbed to the "last minute frenzy"...I actually ran around looking for my Credit Union statement to see how much more I had to draw on...and cracked open the safe to see how many bonds I could cash in... :eek:

Eight bidders; six day auction; opening bid $500, BIN set at $1600...no bids for four days; I finally made a token bid...it stayed at $500 for another day, then started building up in $10 increments...today at 5PM was the closing...I had a window open, with "You have been outbid. Bid again now!" all set up for the 10 second countdown...my auto-bidder set at 22 seconds...and that #$%^&* eBay gave me a "Sign In" page when I hit the Bid Again Now! button!!! :mad: I was already signed in!!! I had already bid!!! :grumpy:

...But my 22 second auto-bid was sufficient... :o

But that BIN scared me...I was afraid someone else would get all discombulated and BIN it!!! :eek:

Now I just have to find a couple thousand bucks... :(
