Well, it's an antique wine de-corker...chrome plated brass; very rare...Used on the old-stlye wine bottles, with the soft corks...

I also collect antique mechanics' tools...Here is an old battery terminal spreader...back when batteries had lead terminals on their tops, the lead clamp would get corroded and need cleaning (the post, too)...then you had to spread it to get it to fit on again... :)

This is a nice example...used sparingly and lovingly, by the looks of it...
