Holy Censors Batman!

It appears that the "S" word in the web sites name has caused a tad bit of a problem with Bladeforums.

You'll have to do this manually, Sorry folks.

Where you see stars in the address, insert a word.

Here are the clues:

It's a four letter word
It rhymes with "Spit"
It's one the infamous "Seven Dirty Words"

Enjoy

John

Note: The links have been edited. All you have to do now is replace the single star that is left with the letter "T"

Hope this helps

Interesting pictures - It would be nice to have a translation of the site as it looks interesting. (I am sure that other nationalities say the same about Bladeforums!).

Ah...the rancid stench of political correctness rears its' ugly face once again.

The software is politically correct but in accomplishing this feat of frenzied, wide eyed amazement, the software is racist.

Let's do a test. A Fokker is an airplane.

Alright, alright...

I went to this website when I obtained a copy of the Japanese Book, "Tactical Knives." Great book...wish the webpage was in English so I could read the sucker. Lotsa neat stuff in the book, anyone have an extra copy I can purchase?

Alright, now if someone registers under the name, "Richard Cranium," is the software going to delete it?

Don,
I will see if there are any other copies lying around. I know it sold out and there were ruminations about a second printing.
Ichi tells me he and Tomo will be out in August/Sep. to do a second book. I had 5 copies earlier this year but i gave a few away to Forum buds and friends. I'll check and post my results.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I am sort of the Black Dog of the Usual Suspects without being a Usual Suspect around here. I think ya got to own a custom Emerson to be a true Usual Suspect and all of mine are Production...but I have a lot of them.

Love thy Commander and thy LaGriffe...

Tam:

If you ever find that Japanese book I'd love to purchase a copy. When I heard about the book I called 3 or 4 of the Japanese bookstores in New York and also San Francisco, looking for a copy but everyone told me (in English, thankfully) that they had sold out.

In Ryan's "page 3" link, can anyone identify the folder with the extreme tanto point (bottom folder in the picture of 3 folders)?

Sniper 308 and Don,
I tried to access the exact web page and it would not go. I was able to access the other Yami****a site and it was difficult to find a page three. I have a pretty good idea the different Ryans I used since it was my collection and I'm on the cover.
I particularly like Steve's Mod. 1 and 2.
The One has a radical "Scoop" cut w/ serrations at the rear. Single Bevel Tanto style. The Mod. 2 is straight Edge Single bevel Tanto style w/ a "Scopop" on the spine or top of knife w/ serrations inside of "Scoop". These are amongst my favorites for trapping (Pallasoot) and imobilization when closing in (Hubud). Steve is a talented maker and he makes other fine designs as well.
Those are my favorites and I would take them into ANY Knife Combative situation. They are excellent to flow w/. As well as substantially built. He made me a Sword that is really awesome as well. Perhaps more will be shown in the second Tactical Knives Book.
Hope that helps.

Hey Don and Sniper 308-
There is a Japanese bookstore near my apt. and I was in there yesterday and they had about 5 or 6 copies of the "Tactical Knives" book on the shelves, so if you are still interested I'm sure they're still there. Here is the phone #
Kinokuniya Bookstore

Take care, Donald.

Nowhere Fast:

Thanks Don,
If you guys can't score let me know. I'll see then what's up w/ Ichi and Tomo.

Sniper- I just glanced at the books as I was browsing so I wasnt looking at any price, but when I bought mine I believe the price was $32.00, I cant really remember but that figure sticks in my head for some reason but just ask them. If for some reason its a problem to deal with them just let me know and I can go there and pick one up and send it to you, its no trouble.
Take Care, Donald.

Heya there, couldnt get a single one of those addys to work no matter what I tried.

A couple of people have emailed me about not being able to open the links above.

There's a censor program running on any post made to Bladeforums. If you look at the links on the second post I made here, you'll notice that there are four stars in every link. This is were Bladeforums cut out a "four letter word". The first three letters that were removed are "shi". The fourth letter is "t".

I am going to edit the links so that you only have to insert the "T" in place of a star.

(Don't forget to take out the star)

Sounds like a lot of work, but well worth the time.

Hope this helps.

John

Nowhere Fast:

I called the bookstore and after talking with several employees whom I couldn't understand I finally spoke with Mr. Shushi. Hopefully he understood what I wanted but I've got a book comming my way. For the life of him he couldn't figure out why a southern white boy in Kansas wants a book written in Japanese. Anyway. . . thanks again for locating the book for me.
