Interesting Kydex/Leather sheath?

Has anyone made a sheath like this? I think it'd make an awesome machete sheath, quick release too with the buckles too. The drawings a little rough, but you can get the idea.

Well, Martin Swinkels has made sheaths that are kydex with a leather liner, if that's what you are trying to show? Frogs have definitely been done, but I can't say that I've seen one done with buckles, or done at all on kydex.

The idea is very well possible.
You don't need slots on both sides. When the straps are tight, they won't move much, and stay in place.
One strap is enough, you don't need 2.

This pic shows a retentionstrap screwed to the kydex. a loop could be attached to a ring on the back
It could have a slot for a strap tho, and work the same..

Who can make a simple kydex sheath with a leather belt loop or leather frog for an affordable price? Would like one to fit a 12" D Handled ontario with the D guard removed. It doesn't have to be pretty, just solid.

Interested in getting one for a 6" forschner wide boning knife too if the price is right. PM me if interested.
