.......Well, to me anyway. I sent in my Charge Ti because I had used it so much, I completely lost the bevel on the blade and just could not sharpen it. I also generally beat the crap out of it, and it looked it.
First, I sent it in on 11-19-10, and got it back on 11-29-10--10 days door to door (with Thanksgiving in the middle) is pretty impressive.
Second, as has happened to others, instead of fixing the tool, they just replaced it with a reconditioned one.
Third, which has also happened to others, they sent back a different tool all together--I went from an Ti to an XTi. Some might say its an upgrade, but I lost the scissors. I'll call it a wash.
Finally (and the interesting part), if there was ever any doubt that they used "reconditioned parts," look what I found scribed on the side of the handle: the previous owner's name!!!! Not sure I'm thrilled, but it is essentially a new tool otherwise.
Edit: I also just noticed that it does not have a crimper on the pliers; just the regular needle nose from the Ti. So, I guess its kind of a Hybrid.
"Joaco" are you out there??
