Cola said his steel, which he has trademarked as Flash Bainite, is seven percent stronger than martensitic advanced high-strength steel. Additionally, Cola claimed his steel could be thinned and lengthened 30 percent more than martensitic steels without losing its enhanced strength.

I do hope there will be a new breed of L6 Bainite with such tech; lower cost without compromising the quality.:thumbup:
 
The bainitesteel website explains it --it's for automotive use !! Strong ductile low alloy steel that is HT'd at the mill but then can be formed and welded easily and is strong and ductile to make your car safer in crashes. This is the latest development in a series such steels. I doubt that it would have any use for knives.
