A friend calls me up and says with some excitement that she had gone through a local dealer buddies stock of Emersons and "low and behold" she found one with her old PD ID number on it. "134" She comes by to drop off some other knives (more pictures in a bit) and shows me her prize. Her new waved CQC7B has the "wave" patent number on the blade! Interesting change.

I got out my waved CQC7B and the markings are indeed different.

Mine was in the first batch made in the end of 2000 (pre-serial number), Her's is made in 2001.

Just thought ya'll might find it interesting.

John,

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. But the number is kinda off for me. You see to Asians the number four means or similar to death. So you don't find many of us buying knives with that number on it. Thought you would like to know.

That's pretty cool!
Hey if anyone has either number 34 (my badge #) or 118 my ID number, I would be willing to buy or trade.
AWWW Dammit!! I just checked my last Emerson purchase, a Mini 7B. I bought it last month and it's number 035!!! One off my badge number!

Does anyone besides Hollister have a bevy of women who come over to share their knife deals with him?

By the way, I'm still the happy owner of lucky CQC7A #777...

Hey AncientSul:

I just know that Steve Ryan knife has got the #4 on it somewhere! Please check it over carefully and quickly send it to me!

I'm more than happy to do you this little favor! Don't worry about paying me back!

Take Care!

The nice thing about helping Derek out at some of the shows is getting to go through the knives first-I got P-Sark #35 (my badge #) satin, un-serrated. It will be my travel knife, as I figure it should be pretty safe for the airlines. I am getting a regular Blk serrated P-Sark for daily carry.
