Interference fit

I been trying to make my first frame lock and after prototyping I realized my stop pin location is horrible. The new design requires a press fit stop pin in the blade.

My question is, how much do I need to undersize the hole in the blade to get a permanent fit for a .1874 stop pin?

Reamed to 0.002" undersized is a good rule of thumb.

I'm reaming .001 under for a press fit on a 3/16" pin but I could see .002" working well. I like to add a shoulder to the inside of the hole that is a slip fit so the pin is easier to align when I press it.
