I think it's pretty cool that we have people from several continents here on the Blade Forums.

Some people may be hesitant to post because of the language barrier, but this is a friendly place to exchange ideas, pictures and questions about Spyderco. No one will poke fun at your posts, and chances are your English is a lot better than you think and we'll have no problem understanding it.

So I just want to encourage folks from all countries as it's good to hear from a different perspective, although I have a feeling knife fanatics are the same 'round the world.

I too am pleased that we have members from so many different countries. I've interacted w/ members from the UK, Australia, Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Brazil, and many others. I've never had the opportunity to converse with people from so many different countries. I think it's great.

Being one of those crazy foreigners my self, I can only hope my English is even half way readable to you guys. :p

Thanks everybody, ive never had a chance to interact with so many Americans before :D!!

Im aware that i probably make a few grammatical errors every now and then, but ive never heard anything about it, and you folks have been nothing but welcoming!

Glad to be a part of this community!

Actually, most of us are only half literate anyway so even if you have made some mistakes probably no one noticed.

Yes, this is a very friendly place, though bleeding edge! :-) I thoroughly enjoy my visits, though it is difficult to lay my hands on the variety of knives discussed about it due to my geographical location (India), and the cost ($ to Rupee is 1 to 47). But I drool, and I enjoy the lovely knives people possess.

This is one place which spans all political, and religious barriers. Nice one that is.

Cheers, thanks for the welcome!

I've been hanging around here about as long as cgmblade and choonbak. I've never felt unwelcome anywhere, least of all the Spyderco subfora.

Agreed, thoroughly, with choombak. Thanks to Sal for setting the tone, and to everyone here for being nice!

yes, you right - because of bad english i feel shy to post something at forum. i attended a courses in english language, but without practice knowledges get lost easily.
by the way, ex-USSR people (especially elder generation who grew up and graduated from schools/colleges/universities before USSR collapsed) have traditional foreign-languages-problem because of the iron curtain.

well, hello from Italy!
here there are many Spyderco users and collectors, I know many from our MCKF forum
my personal edc has been the leafstorm lately

Hey, I bet there are a lot of really nice knives right there in India, especially traditional styles. If you've got pictures and stories to share I'm sure many on BF would be pleased.

Your English is fine now, but feel free to consider Bladeforums a kind of post-graduate language program.;) I'm sure that by making more posts and interacting with the members here your English will improve even more.

I truly enjoy the ability to trade comments with those of you who are from other countries. Your love of Spydies is enough of a visa for me.

Welcome!!

Chris

Trading comments is as far as it goes these days.

Purchases in the forum are all but gone for me, with no one wanting to deal internationally.

Kind of puts a bitter taste in my mouth when we're regarded as not worthy of consideration, en masse'
