This is not the right forum this sort of discussion, but yes there are many international CRK owners.

How is it not the correct forum?

I'm asking how many international Umnumzaan owners are on these forums.

I believe this is the perfect area for the post.

Your questiuon is a loaded one and you know it. Why the link to the GB&U thread and the mention of Australia specifically if you're not asking about the implications of posting knives to Australia ? That is what the GB&U forum is for, this forum is for talking about the knives them selves.

Austaralia a bad country for dissapearing knives and it would have taken little to find that out, I would not post knives to an Australian stranger my self. Unfortunately nothing is going to change what happened to your knife. You were more than likely scammed or at best just BSed as the guy thought there would be no problems and back peddled on you rather quickly when their was. It sucks buttock but that's it.

I know there are a few floating around here. Australia now has quite specific laws regarding folders. It pays to know the laws of each country before you ship to them. Not an easy thing to do, but the buyer simply has to take full responsibility for the knife being confiscated, if its in contravention of his country's laws. After all, he would know the laws much better than you, the seller. Its really that simple.

2 sebs 2 mandis 1 professional soldier and yes 1 Umnumzaan here in Venice, Italy
got literally hundreds of knives and tools from the USA in hte last 5 years or so
never had a problem, doing things right

besides the correct packaging hints, maybe wrapping it in tin foil and no obtuse declarations (just "tools" instead of...KNIFE!) it always went pretty smooth
no big issues no knives lost no custom problems or whatsoever (besides a once badly closed usps envelope where things fell out..., a-hole ebay seller..)

Hi DylanMW,

I'm in Melbourne. I bought my Umnumzaan from Mr Marsh from 'Action Concepts' in Texas through eBay. I got my knife sometime mid last year before the new Customs regulations which gave these idiots arbitrary confiscation power for folding knives that can be opened with one hand through 'centrifugal force'. I hear Customs went gung ho from December onward and many buyers were caught unawares.

And you may still lose it. PayPal will not enforce such an agreement. All they want to see is confirmed receipt by the buyer.
