Internet Explorer 7 is finally ready

I've been using v. 7 for about 3 months in its beta format. I downloaded and installed the final version just 3 days ago. I don't like the way it handles cutting and pasting but, otherwise, it seems to be fine. It is less intuitive but doesn't take long to get the hang of it. I still prefer v. 6 and still have it running on half the computers. Vista is coming soon so I guess I need to buy some memory.

Just installed it, and it seems to be working very well for me. Seems to be faster.

Yeah now my oldest is raggin me about F2 coming out soon. Cleartype is a nice improvement on the eyes tho.

Using IE7 is like trusting a child molester to go straight :thumbdn:
that's a good one.
that being said downloaded it and installed it yesterday and used it quite a bit last night no problems and works pretty slick. i still use firefox but 7 seems to be a step in the right direction. just my .02, ahgar

As I continue using IE 7 I'm liking it better and better.

Microsoft did something very smart: they learned from the open source guys -they used betas and solicited comments and, in effect, opened its development to the community instead of keeping it all in-house and super secret.

I think that's a big part of the reason that the application is as good as it is.

In case anyone's interested in the latest and greatest browser from Gates and company, it's just been released for download in final form.

A looooooong installation, but it seems to be working better than the beta versions.

I think I'll stick with Firefox 2.0. It still beats the socks off anything Microsoft has come up with. (IMNSHO)

I like IE7 and Firefox 2.0 about equally.
They're really very different from each other.

Anybody try the tabbing yet? It's supposed to take you to similar product web sites.

Loaded it, and it worked great the first few days. Very fast. The Search change took some getting used to..

Then a few days ago, got very sluggish loading same daily visited sites, so I $hitcanned it tonight.

Back to IE6....

Still using IE7; still think it's excellent.

Still using Firefox 2.0, still think it's excellent.

Stopped using Opera 9, no longer think it's in the same league
as the other two. And Opera had been my default browser going
back to the 6 version.

IMO:
For Macs Firefox is best.
For PCs, it's IE7.

I downloaded IE7 on my office computer at work last week, and it has been working just fine. I doubt if it would work here on my home computer as it's an old 1998 Gateway, with dial-up, and ME, rather than the newer XP...

I've been using IE7 for a couple weeks now. It took a little while to get used to but I like it. I used FireFox a year ago but didn't like it because there were a few website I frequented that didn't open well on it. I will use IE7 until there is a reason to switch.

Alas, IE7 still hasn't learned how to reliably increase the font sizes on some websites. I mean everywhere on that website, not in one frame. My eyes are not what they used to be, so this is an entry condition. I am not holding my breath. Firefox works perfectly on the same websites, so it's an easy choice for me.

I'd be careful with IE7. I downloaded it and it was very blury. So I tried to switch back, but it won't let me. And now my computer is doing all kinds of screwy things.
