Hey all,
My apologies if this isn't the best place for an intro thread - I couldn't find any dedicated subforum.
I'm a long-time lurker, and have enjoyed the information available from this site for years; it has informed many of my various purchases. The fact that I've got an oldie-but-goodie I wish to sell finally prompted me to pony up the Gold fee and join the club. And since I'm going to be doing that, I figured it'd be rude not to introduce myself first . . .
A little bit 'bout me: I'm a high school history teacher, with a lot of eclectic side interests; blades interest me both for their own sake and as tools for my various hobbies. I used to be a medieval re-enactor when I was young, so that includes swords and spears. Nowadays it's mainly hiking/outdoorsmanship and general preparedness that informs my blade choices. I'm no collector (I haven't the budget), but I do own a variety of decent blades for various purposes - mostly Benchmades, with the occasional BK&T, ZT, Cold Steel, etc. My every-day carry knife is a ZT 0200, or a little MiniGriptilian Tanto when I'm at school (gotta be under 3" by VA law). Of course, like most of us, I've got a "wish-list" a mile long. Perhaps if I win the lottery . . .
