Introducing myself - Question about Kabar Ankle Holster BK11/EsKabar

I'm a fan of the Becker line of knives.....no-frill, cheap knives that work well. I don't like all these crazy lines of knives that should be in action films and Becker fits the line. I just started getting active in BladeForums again in a different sub-forum.

I bought the BK2, BK7 and BK11 right around the time Becker merged with Kabar. I loved the BK2 - super thick, heavy-duty blade. The BK7 was a great bigger-sized knife and the 11 a good size to carry around on my belt at work.

I am interested to read through the threads and learn more. Just got back into the position to buy more knives - had to pay off some debt - and now I've found out there's new models and such - BK5 - that weren't around last time I was in the market.

Now on to my question - I bought the Kabar ankle holster hoping to attach the BK11. I had the hardest time and it didn't seem like the holes lined up so I kept it on a Kabar metal clip. Can anyone tell me if they should be compatible?

I recently bought an EsKabar (I got interested in RAT same time as Becker so I love the concept!) and it looks like it might actually fit the ankle holster. Has anybody tried it?

Howdy, and welcome. I'm not sure about the sheath, I have never owed a TDI ankle holster, so I don't have anything for you on that one.

I love my ESKabar very much. Its my EDC and my best friend. I'm a lonely person. :D

How do you carry your EsKabar?

I'd like to be able to rig mine up to the ankle holster, have a knife on my belt, one in my jacket, one in my bag and one on my bag. I think that 5 knives would be enough for my day to day tasks ;)

IWB strong side 3 o'clock, when I don't have my Colt on, then it gets moved back to 5 o'clock.

Are you trying to imply that you were intimate with him or his gf/wife?

I looked and all I found was a zebra print Speedo, size Extra Small. I'll get it in the mail to you.

Thanks, no need to run them through the wash, they was clean when I put them on, so, good to go.

Sorry, man. I already washed them in hot so they'd fit you a little better.

Huh, I'll have to give it another go.

The BK11 fits on the metal clip, but for some reason it wouldn't attach to the ankle holster....I was probably just being stupid, overlooking something but I swear the holes didn't line up.....maybe a weird-shaped or miss-drilled holes on the sheath? I did get it right around the time Kabar started making them at the beginning, so maybe they didn't think about the early model fitting it.....but why would the clip work then?

The EsKabar looks like it lines up perfectly. I keep meaning to get to it, but between work, the gym and hanging with my brother and my girlfriend I don't have quite the time I need to get to it. I'll have to make sure to get it done this weekend and post some pics!

The metal belt clip and the TDI ankle holster have different hole spacing Which means that the sheath wont line up properly with the ankle holster.

You wont be able to get your BK11/eskbar sheath to attach using the 4 bolts. It'll work using one bolt and three zip ties though.

a couple extra sheaths, and one could say, lace a BK14 or 13/14 into the boots permanently :)

or swew/rviet them to all kinds of places.

OK, thank you for the information. I assumed that they'd fit and think that it is stupid that they don't.

The zip-tie idea is great....I might have to rig mine up today at work. I brought my pack with all of my knife stuff in case I could make time to rig up tek-loks and klips and whatnot.
