"As always, this year's benefit knife will be introduced at our CKCA banquet and be available for inspection at the CKCA booth at BLADE Show the entire weekend.

I have this knife/sheath in my possession and it's absolutely beautiful, ergonomically correct, sharp as a razor and big.

The V Foundation for Cancer Research will be the recipient of our contribution this year which will be directed towards Gastric/Esophagus cancer research in honor of former knifemaker and CKCA member Leon Treiber. Leon passed from esophagus cancer in late 2010. The V Foundation is an outstanding organization. http://www.jimmyv.org/

The CKCA has donated $20,431 to cancer research in the past two years which is about 98% of what we have collected.
Please help in the fight against cancer by supporting this project.

Tickets for our benefit knife will go on sale at our banquet (Thursday night June 9th) for attendees and on Friday June 10th 10:00 am EST on-line via our website and at our CKCA booth located in the lobby at BLADE Show.

A huge thank you to all our participants who made this important chartable project possible.

Kevin,

I want to let everybody know that the CKCA Cancer Knife and Sheath looks even better in person than in the beautiful photos by Chuck Ward.

I bought 5 tickets at Blade in Atlanta (the best deal).

Since I would love to own it, I will be buying more before the drawing at Jerry Fisk's Microshow. If I win the knife it is well worth the money and if I don't the money goes to a worthwhile charity, Cancer Research. A win-win situation.

Great job by all involved.

I agree completely - it is a terrific piece.

Ticket sales are doing well for this beauty. Don't forget to buy your ticket(s) soon. A great opportunity to support a worthy cause and a heck of of a collaboration for one lucky collector.

We only have a little over a month left before the drawing of this outstanding Bowie/Sheath at Jerry Fisk's Micro Show on October 8. If you have planned to purchase tickets, please get your order in. Online tickets purchases (click on the knife in my signature line) will close down on October 5 @ 12 midnight est.

Last year's $100 per ticket price was beyond what many could comfortably afford, however it was needed to insure we raised the maximum for cancer research and I think we did such. This is about is raising the MOST for cancer research, while presenting custom knives in the most favorable light. The CKCA averages 98% of all $$$ coming in from our cancer research projects going to the foundations we support.

This year's $25 per ticket should be within most everyone's reach.
Even if this knife/sheath isn't your cup of tea, one could have quite a windfall for just $25 invested. Last year's benefit knife sold about 6 months creating quite the payday for the collector who initially won it.

Please help support cancer research, we are seeing the benefits of it everyday!!!!!

Hey fellas I need to fix the Paypal link on the page containing the knife info, but until then, use the Paypal link on the CKCA homepage.
Bob

Follks, there's only 3 weeks left to get your tickets. We will draw for a winner at my Micro Show.
This is an outstanding quality knife and an outstanding benifit. So many people have suffered from Cancer, it's good when we can help out and still have fun with the cutlery field.

I just lost someone very close to me with cancer about 6 hours ago. Its devistating :( This is a good cause and I wish so bad that I wasn't broke just so I can help. I will see what I can come up with.

Amazing, inspiring, humbling... simultaneously. Time for me to finally join the CKCA, hats off Kevin for spearheading this and past projects benefiting such great causes.

Matt, it would be good to have you in the group. I know you will really enjoy hanging with this group as it is not about one person or one style but it is about our industry itself.
Thanks Jon, yes, it affects each of us in some way with all of our families. Just one ticket will help people.

There are less than 2 weeks left until the drawing at Jerry Fisk's Microshow for the CKCA 2011 Cancer Research knife.

I just bought 5 more tickets. It is a great cause and maybe I can win a really nice knife.

Don't miss a chance to do something good for all of us.
