Looks like the Solder Dog is offline again, I placed the order with the SFC (even though i wanted a standard Choil)... Left a note with the order, I'm sure team Busse can just adjust the order to normal Choils.

Edit: Just as expected. Amy @ Busse got my order straightened out! Thanks Amy!

And on a relatively thin knife too. The weight to performance on this is going to be great.

Heyyyyyyyy.... It's not our fault!!! It's not like a HUGE segment of us haven't requested a choiless option on most Res-C handled (and other) blades for Oh, I dunno... The PAST FOUR YEARS. It's not like we just sprung this on him three days ago. He did it for the B10 and now it's one of the most desired Basics out there.:rolleyes:

It's only "Poor Jerry" if he hasn't been following the forums (unlikely).:p

It IS his show and I really really really really really HOPE we get a choiless HOGB8 option. That said, I just ordered the standard choil on the Dog Soldier. I'm hopeful with the guard being as short as it is in front of the Res-C handle, the stretched index finger position won't be as uncomfortable as the prior offerings where the choil is spaced so far out from the front of the handle. I'll elaborate more in Jerry's "choil haters" thread after I get home from teaching this week and can take some pictures.

In the Meantime... The Busse Brothers (they're dangerous by themselves, but when they team up... it's just UNFAIR) sucked me in again because they know how to get me to send them money. Res-C and INFI are my Kryptonite.;)


Sooo, the question for everyone else is.... Have you placed your order yet?!?!?!:D:D:D
 
Now you Hogs got me thinking I ordered regular choil , but order confirmation says snag free and without snag free?
Guess Ill send an email to Amy just to confirm it

Yep, agreed. And res-c handles will also keep that weight down and give us superb control in wet environments
 
The Dog Soldier should be a great knife for its size, and the Infi/Res-C is a terrific combination.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
