It's the excess material at the end of the balde that hasn't been ground off yet. In the bottom pic you can see it being held onto.

Especially the larger ones. I like to carry my larger knives tip down in the right rear pocket. I will carry smaller knives tip up right front though.

240$ MSRP? I can dig that. I figured it would be more. Definitely a winner in my book along with the 0566 and 0770.

No offense ya'll but for me personally I have never warmed up to all metal scales. I like something a bit more grippy. It is, however, a handsome knife overall.
