Introduction Post from Germany

Are you really going to give it away?

I just meant to say "Get it off" as if I had a parasite or some sort of headcrab (if any of you played Half-Life), where the parasite that sucks on my face is a forming becker addiction.

Sorry for any inconvenience or misunderstanding

I actually meant are you giving the knife as a gift to your girlfriend as you stated?

Mistwalker, I am loving the pictures. Now you make me want to go out camping and build everything with my Becker :D

I have something to tell you...

MY KNIFE ARRIVED TODAY! :D

I really have to say I am very pleased with the quality, the design... f*ck it I'll just say I LOVE THIS KNIFE! Thank you all for your kind words, especially Ethan himself. You have really made a high quality product here. You all have helped shortening the waiting time for me, thanky a lot!

I have two minor issues with the knife.

1. The edge is a little bit off on one side, making it very difficult to sharpen the straight part of the blade. But, whatever, a good reason to buy a Gatco Sharpening System, right? That thing should be able to correct the little mis-grinding.

2. The coating is just too damn good ;) I don't think they have anything here in Germany that can remove epoxy, and it's nearly impossible to do it with sanding paper. Crap. I hate coated blades. I don't know, but I just don't like the thought of cutting my food with anything else but steel. Any ideas on that?

PS: Thank you so much for your gorgeus pictures, Mistwalker! When I take out the new lady tomorrow to gnaw on some wood, I shall take my camera with me.

Hi Maethor,

I moved to Heilbronn about one year ago for work from Australia. Nice country you have here. Where did you pick your new knife up from. I'm also looking for one, but having trouble tracking one down.

Holy thread revival, sorry Im new at this.....
Would delete if I could work out how to.

No deleting that first post! Quite the revival of an old one.

Welcome blunko! Glad to have you aboard.

Hi

Waiting on steely goodness is painful.. Welcome aboard.

It's an amazingly versatile blade and can do a lot. Did you order the plastic handles? They really make a difference in comfort. Enjoy!

I'd say welcome, and would've said it sooner had not been at the gathering, but looks like everyone else has that covered. I anxiously await your pictures.

Holy necro thread

Maethor dissed the wharny, can't be having that

First off.....welcome aboard!

It made me smile to see how excited you were to get that Becker. No matter how many I own, I always get a little antsy when a new one is coming my way. So, get out there and use that little guy (that has a big bite) and don't forget to post some pics in action.

Enjoy,
Dan
